SE-IAL 7.1 HUMAN RIGHTS AT MIDNIGHT SUN 11/06 – 21/06. Topic: EDU, PEACE, STUDY Vols: 20

Vallens kretsloppsskola is an environmental educative center located in a beautiful scenery, 35 km from Luleå, a city very near the arctic circle and the north pole. Midnight sun will last the whole camp. A minibus will transport volunteers from the city of Lulea to the camp locations.

W: 1/2 work and 1/2 studies. The aim of the camp is to learn, discuss and exchange perspectives about honour violence and human rights. Work consist of painting, making sculptures, dancing and role-playing games about thoughts after discussions, lectures, films and workshops.

S: Honour violence, human rights, identity, gender equality, conflict resolution, social movements and inner contact.

A: Ten double rooms, toilets and showers. Food will be prepared by the volunteers. Bring towel and sheets. The camp is unfortunately not accessible for wheel chairs.
